Gugulethu Sofia Mbatha is more popular under her stage and screen name Gugu Mbatha Raw. Her popularity grew due to her appearance in the BBC Science Fiction TV show Doctor Who. Chelsea Joy Handler, born 25 February 1975 on the 25th of February, 1975 in Livingston New Jersey, is the youngest of six children. She was born the youngest in a large family. Handler was the daughter of a car salesman as well as a domestic worker. Her mother came to America in the year 1958 as an immigrant from Germany. After ten long years of fight against breast cancer, she passed away in 1989. Handler was raised Reform Judaism by her father who was Jewish. Handler lived in a good neighborhood and was a very happy child. Her move to Los Angeles when she was 19, to pursue acting. Handler was obliged to be an actress in order to make ends meet. Handler began to do stand-up comedy full-time after she reached the age of 21. She realized she is gifted at story telling. The beginning of her career Handler started her professional career as a member of the Oxygen network's all-female cast of the hidden camera/comedy reality TV series Girls Behaving Badly. This reality TV show ran from 2002 until 2005. The handler started appearing on other shows including Weekends at D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler started her career as a correspondent on The Tonight Show. Handler got her most famous break in 2006, when she was named host on E! Named The Chelsea Handler show. The show ran for two seasons. Handler followed this up by performing on Comedy Central Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour and in the United States. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend & HBO have broadcast Handler's standup shows. In 2010 it was revealed that she was going to be hosting the MTV Video Music Awards in 2010. MTV Video Music Awards.
